The PMA is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Transitional Justice Institute, the Design History Society and the University of Ulster, and will utilise the latest digital post production software for audio-visual recordings and archiving.

Participants to the recordings will co-own the material that they contribute and will retain a veto over its end-use. It will only be added to the public archive when the participants agree to its inclusion. This is an important acknowledgement of each person's ownership of their own story.
